London Concert Band Robert Kennedy Award

The London Concert Band is proud to offer the London Concert Band Robert Kennedy Award. This award supports and encourages youth participation in community music and recognizes students who demonstrate a strong commitment to musical engagement and growth. Through this initiative, the band aims to foster the next generation of community musicians and promote lifelong involvement in the arts.

About the London Concert Band Robert Kennedy Award:

The LCB Robert Kennedy Award recipient will be invited to join the London Concert Band for one concert term, rehearsing and performing alongside our musicians in a welcoming and supportive musical environment. In addition to receiving a cash prize of $200, students will also have the optional opportunity to perform as a soloist/feature in one of the concert selections.

Beyond the performance experience itself, this award is designed to encourage growth, mentorship, and community connection through music. The recipient will have the chance to learn from dedicated musicians with many years of ensemble and performance experience, gain confidence in a new musical setting, and become part of the broader London music community.

Rehearsals take place on Tuesday nights from March-May from 7:15 - 9:30 pm at A.B Lucas Secondary School.
